Port Dalhousie HarbourIn the summer of 1998, the Port Dalhouse Harbour Walkway was constructed as part of the City of St. Catharines’ waterfront revitalization program. The walkway is a multileveled pedestrian ramp structure extending from Lakeport Rd. down to the Port Dalhousie Harbour, some 5.0 m (16.5 ft) below. The layout of the walkway consists of five individual walls terraced to create four gradually sloping ramps. Each ramp is connected on either end by spacious landing areas. West Allis HospitalDuring the recent expansion of West Allis Memorial Hospital, the parking facilities were increased by constructing a multi-level parking garage. Before the parking structure was constructed, the existing grade of the site was lowered. This required the installation of a retaining wall between the entrance to the parking garage and the property line, to provide stability to the cut slope face and the road above.
